| Professionally 80% of my tools are Snap-On. But for home or cheap tools Stanley tools last long, the ratchets are firm compared to Craftsman. I used Stanley tools as a entry mechanic and still use some sockets, I abuse the those sockets with impact guns and they still take the beating. I highly recommend Stanley over Craftsman for non-professional use. Another tech started at our shop with a Craftsman basic set and the ratchets felt like crap, loose and sloppy. He instantly got Snap-on ratchets to replace the Crapsman ratchets. Also I recomment Bluepoint for a basic set of sockets, wrenches, and ratchets for mid priced high quality tools. Matco drivers are the best with the tri-sided handles with grip material and the phillips tips always bite and won't strip out your screws.
